The School House is a large property in a stunning spot on Exmoor. It is a great property for family and friends, sleeping 11+2. It is a Victorian property, which was originally a school, until it was renovated into spacious accommodation.

5The 1st floor is mainly open plan, with a large living room and dining room with a wood burner and lots of seating. There is also a piano and a full-size table tennis table. Adjacent to the living area it the kitchen which leads out onto the delightful terrace with stunning views across Exmoor. A smaller living room leads off the dining room, which includes a sofa-bed for two extra people if required. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one double with en-suite and one triple bedroom (bunk beds plus single), there is also a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs there are three more bedrooms, one four-poster double bedroom, a second another double bedroom and a twin room plus a bathroom.
The School House has a well-equipped kitchen with appliances including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, combination microwave-grill, and oven with hob. The living area has sky TV which includes Sky sports,a video and DVD player and also a radio/cassette/CD player. There is a table tennis table which can be set up in the living area, and an upright piano. WiFi is available throughout the property. There is a wood-burner in the sitting room downstairs, and a basket of logs and kindling are provided. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are included in the price, but please bring your own beach towels should you require them. There is a cot and high chair available to use, but please bring your own bed linen for the cot. Basic cleaning products such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be in the property, as well as 1 or 2 toilet rolls.. The water at School House is supplied by natural spring.
The School House boasts a lovely with beautiful views of Exmoor, where you can sit and relax or enjoy a BBQ. The garden slopes down to a stream and on to the local village of Brendon, which has a pub called the Staghunters Inn. If you would like to bring your horses, there is grazing available. We can also offer private river fishing, both must be arranged by prior agreement.
There is plenty of parking beside the house, rooms for up to 5 cars.
Lynmouth and Lynton are the closest towns with plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes; there are two small supermarkets, a post office, chemist, a bank, and an excellent Tourist Information Centre.
Lynton also has a small cinema, and tennis and bowls facilities.

The location is fabulous with amazing views. Standing on it's own deep in Exmoor makes for lovely walks.
